The 5 why’s of hearing today’s song
By question #4 you'll be listening to it.
Do you ever struggle with overwhelm or have a hard time figuring out what’s broken?
If so I want to introduce a concept that can help you figure the deep issues within you that haunt your every move.
It’s called the 5 why’s. I’ll show you how to do it in this email.
Now now, this IS a music newsletter, AND I ain’t exactly a licensed therapist…
But this is just a quick excercise you can try to see if it helps you find out why you’ve refused to start living out your dreams.
AND to demonstrate it’s effectiveness. I’ll show you how it works.
Here goes:
Why should you listen to today’s song?
Because it’s something you’ve never heard before, it’s emotive, and catchy. It also comes from LORN, an underrated artist who focuses on emotive songs. It also triggers an emotion of reflection.
You won’t regret listening to today’s song.
Why won’t you regret listening to today’s song?
Because you’ll expand your taste and discover something new. You’ll form new opinions and expand your view of music. You’ll enjoy the song.
Why will you enjoy the song?
Because the artist crafted everything about the song with that purpose in mind. It a communication from LORN to you.
Take its interpretation however you want, but just by listening to it you are fulfilling the artist’s dream of being listened to.
Why would you want to fulfill the artist’s dream of being listened to?
Because as humans, you and I thrive off cooperation. And because you also get something in return: A new opinion, a new song to listen to, maybe a song that fills a certain emotion. A song that you can use whenever you want to reflect about life.
Whatever the reason is you can use this song to feel better.
Why would I listen to this song to feel better?
Because it’s the small things that bring happiness. The sunsets, the laughter at the dumb jokes, a good meal, etc.
it’s always the unnoticed that triggers the deepest emotions. The right song, the smile from a stranger, the unrequested compliment, the surprise news.
The human experience can be hard. The small boosts can drive you to your goals. So even if it’s listening to a simple song, it can have effects you would have never imagined.
Now of course. This is just an example. It’s MUCH more powerful when you have that conversation with yourself…
And as you can see, it went from “today’s song” to “feel better”.
That’s 2 completely unlreated things and the real reason we listen to music in the first place.
I’ve used the 5 Why’s for questions like “Why do I want to quit” “Why do I keep eating terrible food” “Why do I fear x”, etc.
Every time I discover new things that reveal the TRUE root cause of emotions.
I genuinely recommend you give “The 5 Why’s” a try. Today’s song can help get in the mood. Hey - you already have the reasons to listen to it ;)
Njoy.
