🍱 Delicacy of the Day
This is one of those songs that I personally consider Audible Gold.
The reason why? I genuienly couldn’t tell you.
Everything from the sounds, the clubby feel, and the signature “dark and melancholic tone” that comes from anything from this artist.
This song randomly starts playing in my head during seasons of change and brings a sense of unexplanaiable comfort.
Aside from that it’s one of those songs you can have playing for hours on end.
When it comes to ambiance and gloomy tracks no one does it better than AgonyOst.
No clue where the artist is from. Something tells me it’s from the Abnormal lands down under.
Best use for this song is night reflections, drives, and dissociation.

💭 Quick Drivel
For the next 25 days I’ll be exploring the ridiculous trip from last year
I didn’t have time to write it when it happened. So why not take advantage of Nostalgia Year to re-live some memories, eh?
If you don’t mind or care (no blame there), enjoy the hand-picked songs that made up this trip a lot more special. They’re even better than the amazing stuff we regularly send.
Today’s a bit of a short one.
After running around nonstop for 16 days the big crash came.
I woke up around 11am and had no real plans except a popular temple.
Today’s song also decorated much of the day. It started randomly playing in my head and to get it out I busted out the speaker and had it on loop for a couple of hours.
So after catching up on some work it was time to start the day at a cool 3pm.
Pilgrimage to palace.
Here’s something I noticed about Koea.
THEY DON’T PLAY ABOUT PICTURES.
I thought this was exclusive to Seoul but I kept seeing it EVERYWHERE in Busan.
There’s entire stores where it’s a bunch of picture spots that have themes (like hyperrealistic private jets lol) where its just a background.
They also give you props if you pay a bit extra.
And the wildest thing is that these places are PACKED to the brim with people.
Aside from those specialized stores, a LOT of attractions have marked “photo spots” where you can get the best pictures.
Very cool!
Changdeokgung
Alright, this one takes the prize for BIGGEST PALACE EVER.
It was like an endless maze.
The farther you went in the bigger it got.
Yeah this was two different buildings.
There was a billion buildings, from what seemed like shrines, to government offices, to a greenhouse?
But it was in the pagoda that I met Kelsey (name changed for privacy).
This person changed both the trip and my life forever.
They agreed to join in and go explore some other areas.
And so we made the pilgrimage to the next location.
Hongdae Street.
We had to cross this one the way to the restaurant and it was my first exposure to the “street markets”
These places are honestly very picturesque.
…which I didn’t take any pictures of due ot being too deep into conversation with this new friend.
This was also where I saw a lot of the aforementioned picture stores.
We also saw a lot of public performances on everything from dances to singing.
Very interesting to see overall!
Korean BBQ
It’s honestly a crime that I took so long to experience these.
This one was a bit different as the waiter did 80% of the job (including cooking the food) and all you had to do was put it on your plate.
Probably one of the best foods I had so far (Busan fish cakes still on top)
After talking for a good 2 hours it was getting late and was time to start heading our separate ways.
Except they asked if I wanted to go to a korean supermarket.
And so began another hour long pilgrimage to the other end of Seoul.
Korean Supermarket.
To the surprise of NO ONE, it seems that supermarkets have an international setup.
I’d say it was more akin to an American one.
But hey, I guess you don’t really need to reinvent “putting stuff in shelves”
Still, I took the chance to grab some snacks which were much cheaper here than in convenience stores.
I may have gone a little TOO overboard, but at least I didn’t get yogurt thinking it was milk!
Road back home.
After talking for another hour outside of the supermarket, it was time to go our separate ways.
We exchanged info and I headed back.
After arriving home at 12am I got a notification from my alarm.
“Alarm sounding in 4 hours.”
I looked at my calendar and realized it was a 5am wakeup tomorrow.
What could possibly be worth YET another early wakeup?
