Volume Negates Luck

And how artists can embrace it.

There’s something hilarious about the electronic music landscape.

And that is release frequency.

You have some absolute legends like Space Laces and JOYRYDE, notorious for releasing once every thousand years when the stars, moon and three different comets align.

Then you have artists like Almogfx, Archangel, and Sysdemes, who have been releasing music monthly.

If you don’t recognize any of these names, it’s because you’re either new here or because their main listening base looks like this:

Is there a correlation? Idk, lol.

Regardless, the listeners in those above countries KNOW what’s up because these artist GO HARD.

But in an era when music is becoming a disposable commodity, it’s genuinely hard to stay up to date with everything that's going on.

And artists know that too. Gone are the days of “New album in 5 years guys!.” Unless you’re an established artist, your best bet is to have a consistent release schedule.

This is why most people either quit or embrace the “volume negates luck” mentality.

Is there a better way? Yes. Absolutely.

Will I discuss it in this email? No, lol. This is about music, not marketing. But if you’re interested in the “better way,” hit reply, and I’ll send it over.

On to today’s song.

This one is by Almogfx, who is absolutely killing it. You’d think the insane release volume would affect quality, but no, not at all.

This is a fun, groovy and has the right amount of “dark medieval vibes with a side of synth.” I don’t really know what it means but it sounds cool lmao.

Njoy.
