“We have to leave this place. NOW”
Hyperoxia and I had the FANTASTIC idea of entering a MALL on the second day of the trip.
I blame living in America as the cause.
Malls are like the flame, and we are lowly moths that go towards it…
Regardless, we’ve been here for 3 hours, and money is dwindling FAST.
“hole in the wallet” doesn’t even come CLOSE to the absolute LEAK that’s happening.
I’m talking gacha machines (I won a cool train and a fat minion) alongside a bunch of other stuff.
Something about seeing ￥4,000 makes you go “Yeah, I can do that,” without realizing it’s $25 imperial units.
Regardless, we escaped the tower of spend with some gambling wins and “necessary items” then waddled over to the Dotombori district.
The best way I can describe it is: If downtown Orlando was a walkable and not a craphole center of the city.
Overcrowdedness aside, it is AMAZING.
It’s like an ecosystem with restaurants, stores, tours, and all sorts of smells filling the place.
Very surreal stuff.
All in all, today was a resounding success. The metro system is fantastic and nothing like the NYC one (Miami doesn’t even have a transport system, so can’t compare it to that)
We also discovered that malls are to be avoided like the plague until the end of the trip.
But enough about that. Let’s discuss MUSIC.

This is a perfect summer heater to accompany you in walks, drives, and general hangouts. It certainly helped ours.
