The Logistics of "A Daily Song"

It's not just "set it and forget it"

I have an admission to make.

You’ve never gotten a pre-planned song or email.

I write every email the day of and find the song while doing it. (That’s why we rarely email on time at 4:00PM, lol.)

Sure, I could just write a dozen emails in a day, pre-schedule them and not have to worry about it.

BUT THAT’S MISSING THE ENTIRE POINT OF GIVING YOU A MUSICAL EXPERIENCE.

You didn’t sign up for canned slop. You signed up for the BEST electronic music, which changes in real-time, day by day, release by release.

Just like life.

That leads to my frustration:

The BEST comes in many sounds and tempos. The same way life throws ups and downs at you.

There’s too many songs, artists, and sounds that decorate the mood and tempo of the day.

This makes it complicated to dial down a consistent “song selection structure.” So if you see a HUGE swing in genres, it’s by design.

Sometimes you’re in the mood for something light and simple. Sometimes you need a song that will give you the fuel to get things done.

There is no “BEST music” but the one that describes and fits your current situation.

So in many ways, the songs and topics that you’re reading right now come from The Human Experience™️.

You may not like today’s or tomorrow’s song…

But it’s something you can hear and keep in your back pocket for when you need it.

So don’t discount a song for its genre or album cover. You’ll never receive a "bad” song because:

A. I don’t send slop.

B. Every song is hand-picked to fit a certain feeling, moment, and sometimes event.

You can relate to it or give it your own meaning. That’s for you to decide.

And while you do that, let’s open day 15 of the Advent Dumpsterdar BAYBEE.

Inside day 15 there’s something energetic to bring the Monday (or Chewsday depending on when you read this) energy up.

Over the past two years I’ve seen a huge surge in this genre.

Many American’ts are touting the so-fabled “DnB in 2022,3,4,5” but I think this genre will be the one that wins next year:

Hard techno.

Or as I like to call it “slow hardstyle”

There’s been a demand for SPEED (yes, the drug too) recently, and few artists have tiptoed the line between “music” and “Okay this is just noise.”

Sleepy Spaniard - Vendex (Which is 2 letters from Windex, lol.) is one that’s danced the line nicely.

He’s been making “slow hardstyle” heaters left and right.

This remix has the best of both worlds. A gorgeous intro and the pump-up energy that a hard techno track offers.

In today’s case, this song helped me get off my ass and start writing this email. The energy is sudden and activates the GO TIME protocol in you.

If you want gym music, this is how you bench press 3x your weight***.

Njoy.

Genre: Hard Techno Slow Hardstyle

Always “Frustrated” Forward

***Do NOT try this. This is a joke.

P.S. Yes. The siren is real.
