Boss Found The Hot Box Room.

It's getting fixed.

Long-time readers know about the Wage Cage Hotbox.

And if that sounds like all we do is rip fat spliffs in the package room…

I don’t. But I’m starting to suspect my coworkers do…

Anyway, the wage cage hotbox comes from the small fact that THERE HAS BEEN NO WORKING AC IN THE 250X250 sqft front desk area.

The only “cooling” comes from a lowly fan which poetically displays the temperature (It says 84 right now, lol).

But that changes today.

Around 9 am, a team of HVAC repairmen pulled up to the front desk, speaking words I never imagined uttered: “We’re fixing the front desk AC today.”

Could it be? After 3 years of waiting? Will cold air finally be released upon this easy-bake oven?

Oh, the joys of modern technology. I can’t wait NOT to end the cage shift drenched in sweat and looking redder than a fresh tomato.

I happily open the gates and they begin working.

They clank and bang on the AC unit for a couple of minutes.I hear mutters about needing a part.

“Hey, the conveyor belt is broken. Once we fix that, you got AC.” Says the technician.

Ah yes, I can feel it. The cold air surrounding me like a breeze instead of a constant heatwave. No more feelings of dehydration despite the constant water drinking.

It’s so close!

A couple of hours pass by, and I hear the repairs have stopped.

“Ah, finally, it’s ready.” I say to myself, ready to turn on the thermostat.

“Hey so… we have an issue.” Says one of the repair guys stopping me on my tracks

Oh no.

“The AC is fixed” he says with a smile. “But the pipes that feed it water are broken.”

“O-Oh… Any way to fix that?” I ask disappointed.

“Yeah, but not from us” He says as he picks up his gear “Give us a call when it’s fixed”

😐

Did I just get “new album soon”ed?

Well… It seems like I’ll have to wait in this hot degree (it says 86 now please help) Florida weather until the office sorts this out…

But until then, I’ll be listening to this PHENOMENAL song that I also waited 3 years for.

It’s a masterwork of sound engineering, assortment and design. It also keeps up with the SPEED WEEK Hyperoxia seems to have initiated.

Njoy.
