Since we’ve been sending a lot of late night collection tracks I want to give a bit of a background on what’s going on.

This can help you as well if you're chasing after time.

Or if you want to find more time in your day.

Unfortunately, I did not roll the “can follow a schedule perfectly without distractions” character trait.

Any distraction, side note, or thought (no matter how small) can lead to a 3+ hour derailment.

For instance, since finding this useful tool (which I haven't told you about yet), my days have been chaotic fixing constant problems.

Workdays are half work half doing 5 things at the same time and getting nothing done.

Writing this email alone has taken about 2 hours.

Half of that is me getting sidetracked by songs that came by that led to…

Investigations that you’ll hear about another day.

ADHD aside, the biggest issue about planning is not accounting for the million things that go wrong or simply take longer than expected.

The solution is nothing new or extraordinary.

It’s in fact disappointing and underwhelming.

Add a “chaos” buffer to your schedule

Preferably something like 1-3 hours.

“WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. WHO IN THE WORLD HAS AN EXTRA 1-3 HOURS IN THE DAY FOR THAT???” ← What I said when I first heard of the concept.

Well, apparently I did. I just didn’t categorize it as such.

It really is more of a frame of mind and visual cue than anything.

The silly benefit being reduced stress and a realistic schedule.

You might find that you need more or less than 3 hours. Thats perfectly okay.

You’ll find that

Now if you are someone who can keep a perfect schedule and everything goes well day to day…

Congratulations. You are now envied by those who can’t. Seriously, it’s a really cool trait to have.

And if you’re like me and have the attention span of a squirrel in an acorn filled forest…

You’d probably benefit from Chaos Planning.

It’s what today’s song is sponsored by after all

This is by Nasty New Zealander duo Chaos in the CBD.

It came up on rotation while researching the next schizo idea.

I won’t lie, this is more jazzy than house.

Still, it’s the right amount of mellow to ride out a chaos wave while keeping it low-stress.

Don’t know when jazz became so popular again but it adds up to the current life cycle. It will belong in your rotation.

Nuff yappin.

Njoy.

Genre: Smooth, soothing, quality.

Always Planning for Chaos Forward

Hz

P.S. Shoutout to my man Sean Dsouza for the amazing tip. This is a much more reduced version of what you can find in his amazing book.

I am not affiliated at all. His work has been very influential so I’m just passing it on.

Now go njoy the song.
