Welcome to Sunday Singles!
Every Sunday either Hyperoxia or I will send you a micro-review of a single song.
No rant today. Just an ol fashioned Sunday Singles.
Today’s pick may come as a surprise, given my previous rants.
But man, some of the stuff that came out this year is mindblowing.
I can’t belive I missed this.

Artist Lore
Chris Lake is another British Creature taking over the Sunday Singles.
He has been in the game for almost 24 years. In that time he’s made some of the most recognizable songs that are probably still played in live events and clubs alike.
Frankly, I’ve been sleeping on him since well… Tech House isn’t even my domain. Hell, I didn’t like house music until 2020.
Regardless, I am making up for that terrible mistake now.
The Great
If decades in the game taeach you something is what sounds GOOD.
I know I harp on daily about sound and beat. It’s what makes electronic music stand out.
Well this is no stranger to high quality sound with energy that only a veteran can summon.
Everything from the simplest kick hits hard and is in your face. He also has a perfect use of the piano.
There are also no stops. Once the song starts, it's just one rhythm after another. It hooks you in and doesn’t let you off until the very end of the song.
And man, that second drop is just YUMMERS.
Hell, he even managed the landing which is something hard to do after such an energetic song.
The one gripe with it.
I honestly can’t find any. So let me tell you a small rant. When I first saw this album I was expecting dancefloor heaters that sound the same.
Nah bruh. This was a breath of fresh air in the sloppocalypse house is going through right now.
Every song is masterfully produced and had me bopping my head like a bobblehead.
You really can’t sleep on this album. You’ll definitely be hearing more about it.
Wrappin it up
There are a lot of fun things in this song. Start to finish you will be in awe.
I honestly can’t recommend this enough on a road trip or for running. It’s the perfect starter and will get you in a “okay let’s MF DO THIS” mood.
You also can’t go wrong by listening to the whole album.
Similar to it
This is the lead song of the album. Man does it go hard. It’s the perfect start and sets expectations perfectly. It’s honestly the perfect pair of energy.
