🍱 Delicacy of the Day
Consumane - Faith
So I know earlier this week I talked about the death of Phonk.
Russian Rodent Consumane was one of artist who used to do that genre.
He quietly released a “house/beats” album this year.
And WOW is it incredible.
There’s this mix of gloom with the right sounds.
The melodies are also amazing. I’ll admit that they are simple but they hit the spot.
Today’s song in particular has this balance between insight and speed.
It’s relaxing in a way that matches a mind state where thoughts are rushing by endlessly.
The chords will grab you by surprise and provides the “insight” part of the song.
The kicks and drums provide the “speed” part of the song.
The bass in the background weaves it all together to create this relaxing experience.
I’ll admit that this is more of an “Acquired taste” but there’s only one way to figure out if you’ll like it and that’s by playing the damn thing.
Njoy.

💭 Quick Drivel
Wowowow, how are we at the “middle of the month” week?
It might be an annoying habit to always yammer about the time and its increasing speed.
Its just one of those things that is consistently amusing.
On one hand, I can’t wait for this year to be over. On the other, there’s still A LOT to do.
The good thing is that a lot of albums are coming out on Fridee.
I hope this horrendous “Expectation” curse gets broken.
It’s incredibly tiresome to wait months for an album, only for it to come out and be absolute cheeks.
It’s not ALWAYS the case, but its been happening more and more.
The most ironic part is that the best albums are the ones I wasn’t expecting.
Surprises seem better than expectations, but this might only apply to music lol.
In any case, its going to be a wonderful week.
Congratulations in making it this far. It’s only going to get better from here.
Always Forward
