On todays (late) installment, we’ll be looking into an absolutely incredible mellow crafted song.
Today’s song has some hints (or at least I think it does) of fall vibes. The instrument usage, and the melody make me think about the leaves turning these beautiful hues of red and orange. I’m even somewhat picturing the transition from fall to winter, or just endless landscapes of fjords and snow crested mountains.

Artist Lore
Hailing from Australia (as many great artists do), Mild Minds has been crafting beautifully crafted, melodic tracks for a bit now. Signed to Foreign Family Collective, Mild Minds has been releasing quality craft music one after the other. Alongside original music, Mild Minds was tapped for an official ODESZA remix of “Just A Memory”. This is actually how I found out about them, and wow. Quality stuff all around.
The Great
The way it opens with that Bonobo-esque worldly sound flourish is phenomenal. I also really enjoy those de-tuned plucks that progress and change over time as the song goes on, It is very prominent about a minute in. The chords as well work so well in tandem with the plucks. Now, ome may not be too fond of lyrics, but I do enjoy the voice behind Mild Minds. This song very much sounds like a mix between a Rufus Du Sol and Bonobo styled track.
The one gripe with it.
My one gripe with it is honestly, there is not enough of the vocals. As I said, I do enjoy the softer vocals behind Mild Minds, and would love to hear it come out to play a bit more, much like Rufus Du Sol.
Wrappin it up
All in all, another gorgeous track by Mild Minds, and definitely the standout of the EP. Mild Minds is definitely also one of the more standout artists that Foreign Family Collective have signed, and I look forward to hearing more Mild Minds in the future. This is an artist who’s discography I highly recommend diving into.
