There are eyes in the walls
They don't speak but still see....
I'm being watched.
Every minute of my wage cage, something watches carefully at everything I do.
It’s not my boss. Sometimes I wish it was.
It stares deep into my soul with a piercing look.
I can’t get rid of it. As I type I feel its frozen glare staring me down…
I’ve told everyone about it. They laugh it off and tell me I’m crazy.
Let me show you

Can you see it?
It’s a locked-in look. The judgment and disappointment in that glare…
It’s deep eyes stare right into my soul. Judging every part.
What’s that? You can’t see it?
Let me show you…

(Trust me, it’s scarier in person.)
That’s what carefully watches my every move 40 hours a week.
And every day when it greets me with those deadly eyes, there’s not much left to do but stare back at it.
I can’t elude it, and yet no one believes it.
But hey, I could be…
