The most consistent artist.
Straight heaters for 15 years.
Something I purposely avoided talking about this year was the fact that MANY cornerstone releases from the 2012-2014 turn 10 years old.
The main one is this:
There’s a new golden era happening as you read this.
Yes. The 2012-2014 era is undoubtedly one of the best years in electronic music history. Many of the releases from those years still stand as “ahead of their time”.
I would also lie if I say I don’t miss the amazing Electro House that took center stage in that era...
But it’s gone.
The genres from those years have been dormant for almost a decade now with no intentions of waking up (despite various efforts).
And it’s okay.
There’s new, innovative and amazing music coming out from people who grew up in that era and decided to carry the torch.
The sooner you wake up and see this reality the more music you’ll be able to enjoy.
That said…
There is an artist from that era who’s been keeping it real and continues to be a breath of fresh air.
Few artists have survived the ringer of time. No blame there. This industry is ruthless and only “the big thing™️” is allowed to thrive.
So in today’s Advent Dumpsterdar…

DAMN! Already day 10?
Inside is: Most Consistent Artist!
Now look. Long time Divers can smell this one from a thousand miles away.
The Green British Creature - Feed Me.
He’s one of the first artists in my “intro to edm” phase. Hearing his sound evolve while still staying in the electro house realm brings hope to this survivor.
Yes. There are better picks for this. But so far the only ones who released cornerstone albums in 2024 were Zedd (lol), Porker Robinson (lmao), Justice, Gesaffelstein, NERO, and a handful others.
It’s good to look back at the road to see how far you’ve come, but the road keeps forward and time keeps ticking, so enjoy the ride. It can only get better.
On to the song:
Today’s showcase is Feed Me’s 100 Days.
I think it’s one of the best examples of how his sound has evolved.
His melodies are still on top. Those amazing electro house sounds still have that fresh coat of paint. The drops still make you move. It’s all just chefs kiss.
If you were part of the 2012-2014 era this is a gentle nod to that era while still showcasing everything right with the new one.
