The dummy-proof definition of intelligence

+ a bonus definition of learning.

If you were to ask Google “Definition of intelligence,” this is what you would get.

While it’s not a "bad” definition, I believe there’s a much better and simpler definition.

This one is from Dr. Todd Snyder. When I first heard it everything connected.

That’s because it’s so simple and effective that you can start applying it to your life right away and maybe find a path toward your Mission.

Alright. Enough teasing.

Intelligence is the ability to get what you want.

Now, that on its own may not change YOUR definition of intelligence. And that’s okay.

But just for a minute, take it into account because there’s more to the formula.

Because if intelligence is the ability to get what you want, how do you increase it?

By learning. Which can also be defined as:

Modifying behavior based on new information.

So combine these two definitions and you get:

A person who increases their ability to get what they want by changing their behavior based on new information.

If that’s still not impressive, that’s okay. You don’t have to adopt every new thing that you see. Heck, if your current definitions for intelligence and learning are helping you…

DON’T CHANGE THEM!!

Finding what works is always hard, which makes change complicated.

But hey, change can distance you from what you want instead of bringing us closer to it, so it would be more intelligent not to do it ;).

In any case, I may be foolish for believing those definitions. But at least I’m intelligent enough to know that F.O.O.L gets me closer to AMAZING music that never disappoints.

And as you may know by now, today’s song is more peak for your ears.

We’re nearing the end of this showcase so I wanted to switch it up a bit to meet his new sound.

While not as nostalgic as the early work, his new work still meets everything I love about electronic music.

Melodies that so good they stick to your brain. Clean and innovative sound design. Speed.

And not only does he perfectly match them in his electro songs, he can take that formula into ANY other genre. (Even RIDDIM I’m afraid…)

So today I’m shaking things up by sending a Drum and Bass/Synthwave hybrid.

If it sounds like they don’t fit together at all…

You’re right! They shouldn’t.

And yet he managed to do it perfectly. Combining both fast and slow genre to create a beautiful and energetic song to the likes of what you’ve heard all week.

I honestly can’t find a place to use this song in other than the gym.

It’s perfect for pushing during sets and resting while the midsection melodies happen.

I honestly wish I could describe this song, but it would not be intelligent of me to do so since I want you to experience it yourself.

So if you want to learn what a drum and bass/syntwave sounds like, the answer is right below.

Njoy.

Genre: Drumwave (The names will keep getting worse until ideas improve)

Always Learning Forward
