The crocodile’s mouth closed.
Everyone screams in horror.
“See, this is a first-hand example of the Florida Education System at work.” Says the crocodile wrangler at his show.
I’m at some very backwoods alligator zoo, and we’re watching a very funny yet clearly underpaid… performer.
“Alright, let’s take a look at the inside of Charlie’s (the crocodile) mouth,” he says as he holds the beast’s mouth open. “Now, if we look inside of his mouth, we can find my ex-girlfriend.” He looks around to see if anyone laughed. “Alright, now it’s time to do the face-off. We call it this because if you fail, you’re getting your face taken off.”
And so he opens the Charlie’s mouth again.
Bends down…
And puts his head right in the middle of the jaw.
“In the count of 3, I want you all to scream HOO WEE. You got it?” he says, staring down the beast's throat.
“YEEEEEAAAAAAHHH” Says the crowd, more intrigued than scared for a victim of “Florida’s education system”
“Alright… In 3”
“2”
“1”
“HOO W-” SNAP
Everyone’s jaw dropped.
The performer…
Did not get his face taken off.
“Well… That was a close one…” He says “Now I know how my ex girlfriend felt”
Everyone laughs out of nervousness and he ends it with “Alright kids. now you know, stay in school, but leave the state once you get into high school.”
The peculiar thing about this show is that it followed the same exact pattern of a song.
It starts off setting an expectation and if the artist does it right, does something so good it blows you away.
This song is a great example of that. It doesn’t have face-ripping crocodiles, but it does have a clean sound and a fantastic groove.
K?D is a fellow victim of the Floridian education system and a champion at fun songs. This is one of his masterpieces.
