The Great Divide...
Borders are an interesting concept aren’t they?
I mean, its essentially an imaginary line. An imaginary line that divides two neighboring countries (or states). In the case of countries, granted there is a presence there in order to facilitate the travel between borders in an orderly fashion, but…..
It’s just an imaginary line lol. That’s all it is.
But it remains an interesting concept when you remember that this line often times doesn’t just divide neighboring countries, but entirely different cultures as well.
Yet, sometimes we see a mesh of cultures at the border, where the two independent sides come to play.
Look at Belgium, where the official languages are French, Dutch, and German. Bordering France, The Netherlands, Germany, and even Luxembourg, this is no surprise.
Look at Switzerland, where the official languages are French, Italian, German, and Romansch. This as well should come as no surprise as Switzerland is bordered by France, Italy, and Germany.

Speaking of Switzerland, enjoy this picture of Matterhorn, a mountain in the Italian-Swiss region of the alps. If you’re unfamiliar with Matterhorn, maybe you’re familiar with Toblerone? Yup, same mountain.
This beautiful sight sits right at the border of Switzerland and Italy, with both sides being able to enjoy the mountain in all its glory.
Speaking of borders….
