So, as you may have read, Hz and I have been having similar experiences as of recent.
And if anyone is familiar with that feeling, it’s rough…
So, while today’s advent song is somewhat similar to a love song…
It’s super upbeat. It’s catchy. It’s warm. It’s fulfilling.
This song has been on repeat as of late. In the shower, laying in bed, in the car.
Does not matter, it gets played.
And one might be able to guess WHY it’s on repeat…
Now, while these things hurt, looking back at the times that made you grateful to share those moments with that person, and looking back at those moments you can cherish and carry with you as you fix yourself is part of the healing process. The first part, serves as a reminder that you ARE capable of being loved and capable of loving. The second part serves as a reminder that, nobody is perfect, and on this journey that we call life, we’re all TRYING to be better than we were yesterday.
Now, whether you choose to interpret the lyrics of this song as the “love I have to give to others” or the “love I have to give to myself” is entirely up to you.
