"If I jump from here, do you think I will survive?"
This email is NOT about that.
We are in Umeda Sky Building Observatory, one of the top 20 towers in the world.
It’s one of the tallest towers in Osaka. We sit on the very top floor, an open air observatory 173 meters (or 565 feet if you’re an imperial) above ground.
Below us is the city skyline. Every building, district, and major landmark is in sight.
The story of the building is interesting on its own...
Its designer, Hiroshi Hara wanted to create a concept of a “futuristic city” where humans will live for generations.
It was a fantastic experience. The fresh air and “Rooftop Viewing Insights” certainly helped.
The tallest views are the ones that open your eyes to the wonders of the world and what awaits. They show you everything you’re missing.
And personally, seeing the trains go back and forth through the tracks was a very entertaining experience. The transport system is addicting.
The unmatched view of Osaka reminded me of this fantastic song by London Elektricity.
The vibe from the song matches perfectly, and it’s definitely a go-to for any rooftop views.
As he says in the beginning of the video:
“This describes the moment when you climb on to the roof, take one last look at your world before you embark on the journey to building better worlds” - London Elektricity
I’ll leave you with that as an explanation of the song.
Njoy.
