So this is it.
The “last but not least” song in the travel playlist.
This is from American’t Kinoteki. He is pretty good at “alternative beats” that sound more experimental. Would say this is headphone music at its best.
This track is more melody-heavy in the sense that it's an assortment of loops that stick to your ears like napalm.
The sound design and composition is amazing. Very fun to analyze as well.
It’s a bittersweet-sounding song. The intro hooks you from the get-go and doesn’t let you go.

💭 Quick Drivel
For the next 1 day I’ll be exploring the ridiculous trip from last year. Can’t believe it’s over!
I didn’t have time to write it when it happened. So why not take advantage of Nostalgia Year to re-live some memories, eh?

So, this is it.
The final full day in Australia.
It was going to be a late pickup due so I actually got ahead this time and did some pre-packing.
And after 5 days in the box, set up the switch 2.
The reality was starting to set that this is in fact, the last day.
Shortly after, Clara (friend and tour guide) came to pick me up, and it was time to hit the road.
Demon slayer movie re-watch
Yeah so Clara really liked the movie and asked if I was down to re-watch it in the 4D IMAX experience. She also threw a Nando’s meal as a bonus
How can you refuse an offer like that?
It was pretty fun since the movie theater was empty, so we just spent the whole time bantering about how crazy the whole movie is.
As for the 4D experience…
It was alright. Didn’t have as much “4d” as we expected but it was still pretty fun.
I'll reiterate that the ONLY thing Demon Slayer has going for it is the animation. This stays true in 4d and after a rewatch.
Still recommend watching it from how BEAUTIFUL it is.
Mall exploring
Since we were at a mall, we hung around here.
I had to do some last-minute shopping and stocked up on Caramello Koalas.
We also got the 5th frozen yogurt (it’s so mf good) before spending an hour scouring gaming stores for games and SD cards.
But it seems that despite all that I still managed to get the wrong SD card.
Oh well, another one for the camera.
Burkes Lookout
Well… here it is
The final day…
The final lookout.
This place was absolutely beautiful. Peter (Clara’s fiance) was the plug for this location.
It was on top of this hill in the middle of nowhere.
The view included downtown Melbourne on the distance.
This was the best way to say goodbye.
Maccas
Wait, you thought I was leaving without trying this?
Come on now, there’s a mission to fulfill.
This was literally one of the first things I saw when I arrived in Australia.
When I said it “looked like the USA” I wasn’t lying.
Except there’s something weird about it.
It’s called “Maccas”
I thought it was a local slang.
Especially since everyone I asked just called it “Oh yeah, Maccas, that place sucks man.”
Felt like a really organized psyop.
…so when I walked into the mf MACCAS and saw it literally posted all over the menu, I felt like I was taking crazy pills.
They also had the McdDonaldland (or maccaland?) thing going on.
They had this monopoly event going on where every purchase gave you points.
I’m glad it’s called Maccas and not McDonald’s because this was ATROCIOUS.
The burgers tasted like water and that blue concoction drink tasted like sewer water.
Somehow worse than the one in the USA but better than the Singapore one by a long mile.
I’m not sure if it was this specific location but everyone in the table agreed that this is “as good as it gets”
Can’t say I wasn’t warned though…
Final Thoughts
After that horrendous Maccas experience, it was getting late, so they just dropped me off.
And that was that.
Its… a bit underwhelming eh?
Well, yeah, however, if you look at it from a long enough timeframe, it’s only natural.
Another reason is that Melbourne is quite the car-reliant city. It’s not as easy to move around as it was in the previous countries.
I’ll have more to say about that tomorrow, but it’s insane to think that it’s been 44 days of this silly saga.
Regardless, it's been a great time. Melbourne is great fun, and I recommend stopping here.
