Kastuvas - All Good Things (Come to an End)

Alright, I’ll admit that this is more of a “basic” song.

But this was the only song that matches the exact feeling.

It manages to give that bittersweet feeling when uh… something good comes to an end (how else can this be explained?)

Of course, this is YET ANOTHER British Creature. Goes by the name “Kustavas” and its an anonymous artist.

I’d say this is similar to the NOTION sound (the one with that popular tiktok song).

Give it a shot, you might be surprised by how much you end up liking it.

💭 Quick Drivel

So this is it, huh.

The road to the airport was fun yet bittersweet.

After saying goodbye to Clara (the friend who graciously showed me around Melbourne) it stepped into the last non-us airport of the trip.

It hadn’t fully hit yet (a factor of the 4 hours of sleep) but this was it.

The Melbourne airport was nice. They did the tax-free thing, so that was pretty cool!

Can’t really remember much about the airport (which is a plus).

Not much to say about the 32 hour trip home.

Just that San Francisco airport sucks. Idk how people walk through the endless halls.

And so, after 12 flights and 44 days, I was finally back in Miami.

Words can’t explain the dread I felt making the hour-long line MIA is famous for (on the citizens line btw).

But hey, home sweet home and such.

This is going to be a brief review of all the countries visited. It’s not comprehensive by any means and these are just the thoughts a rambling schizophrenic who can’t read.

Japan: S tier. Best place for money, activities, and overall enjoyment. It’s a beautiful country, and it's no wonder it’s one of the most visited in the world.

Korea: B Tier. Seoul blows. But its INCREDIBLY affordable. Busan hard carries this country imo. Its still worth the visit, especially if you like shopping.

China: A tier. It's a bit more expensive, but the activities are amazing. The biggest thing about it is literally seeing “the future”. Incredible if you’re interested in tech.

Thailand: C tier. Not my style. The beach and party lifestyle ain’t it. Sure, there are some pretty places, but it wasn’t as affordable as everyone sold it to be. If you like parties this is for you.

Singapore: D-tier. There’s like 6 things to do, but everything is so expensive that this is a “high baller” spot. Of course, this is from someone who spent 12 hours here. Maybe I missed a lot more hahaha.

Australia: A tier. It’s a beautiful place. There’s a lot to do and it feels a lot like the US but better. There’s also a lot more “car reliance” (especially if you plan outside of downtown), but hey! Most of the best talent in music is from here, so that makes it a baller place in my book.

Yeah, I can’t just NOT have this after making it such a central part.

Japan: S tier. Had the most variety and freshest taste. Tastes more like a genuine burger joint instead of a McDonalds sludge merchant.

Korea: B tier. Not much to say. It tastes a bit like the US one. There is a lot of variety but it doesnt mean much when most things taste like nothing.

China: A tier: The McDonaldand concept is amusing. Really enjoyed it. The taste was actually pretty good! Aside from the crazy fries, that was disappointing.

Thailand: A tier. Surprisingly fresh! There was some mixed variety of new things. Had the best nuggets out of everywhere.

Singapore: F Tier. Maybe its the fault of eating at the airport, but everything tasted like tap water. The “banana” McFlurry is a sin against ice creams. Genuinely the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever eaten.

Australia: D tier. Could have been the location, but everything was so lackluster. Sure, it tasted less chemical-y than the one in the US but that’s because IT TASTED LIKE NOTHING.

Anyway, thanks to this I can keep my American’t Citizenship™.

Hours slept total: 239. (5 hours average)

Times phone died: 15.

Times lost/taking the wrong train: 34.

Strangers met and talked to: 55.

Cloudy Sunsets: 15.

Overall, I highly recommend one of these trips at least once in your lifetime. Yeah, it’s hard to save up all this money and it can be quite expensive.

But the amount of insight, and “mind expansion” you get from getting out of your immediate surrounding is something that stays with you.

I hope you were able to get something out of these past 44 days.
