Hyperoxia and I have been VAGUELY attempting to theme the days but due to terrible logistics, it just hasn’t quite happened.
So is this a cheap attempt at the overblown and tired “ThRoWbAcK tHuRsDaY”
Yes. Yes it is.
But that’s how things roll in the dumpster. The project started out of impulse so it only makes sense to keep that same energy going.
Speaking of energy, here’s the song.
It’s not energetic at all. In fact, it’s the most laid-back and relaxed song I’ve ever sent, lol
As much as I’d like to send this at 4 a.m., the whole “daily email in your inbox” thing means we have to give you a song by 12:00 a.m. on the business day or we get fired.
Will we ever start doing early AM drops? Maybe once we get big and more demand for it grows (replies are always open for suggestions btw)

For all I bash vocal-heavy songs, there’s a HUGE exception to this rule.
And that exception is none other than Koda.
Back in the day, he was a LEGENDARY singer/ambient titan known for his PERFECT vocal-to-melody ratio.
While today he makes more “upbeat stuff” (I just found out TODAY he came back from a multi-year hiatus), his old stuff has UNMATCHED night vibes.
Preferred use? All lights off, on a speaker, letting his soft and weirdly comforting voice fill the room, as the quality produced sounds adorn every aspect of the song.
I genuinely cannot recommend this song enough. If you have a chance, go through his older songs. It’s the best downtempo I have ever heard.
