Let’s talk about X CLUB.

According to Resident Advisor, X CLUB. is an Australian duo currently based in London crafting some of the most melodic, groovy, techno, house, and various other genres under the umbrella.

And wow, do they produce some of the most melodic, groovy, and addictive songs I have heard in quite some time.

I first discovered X CLUB. while I was shuffling randomly through related songs of something I was listening to, and wow.

Wow doesn’t even begin to fully illustrate the MAGIC behind this duo.

So magical in fact, that I included them on our Artists to Watch For back on January 1st, and with good reason. They clocked in at #4, but honestly, if I could rewrite that list…

I’d write them in at #1.

Here’s Why.

Raw energy, Raw emotion within their songs.

Everything sounds familiar. It’s like a slice of nostalgia in a way.

I grew up listening to that later 80/90’s to y2k era electronic dance music music.

From the likes of La Bouche and SASH! to Above & Beyond and Daft Punk, I am familiar with those old school vibes.

I remember listening to those early y2k mixes burned onto the CDs.

Trance mixes, Techno mixes, House mixes.

I miss them all.

But X CLUB. brings a little familiarity back to it all.

Everything very much sounds like the essence of Trance, Techno, House, and all the other genres under the umbrella back during that y2k era.

And X CLUB. does it so incredibly well.

From INSANE Techno/House blends like Sports that Require Petrol,

To BEAUTIFULLY crafted house tracks that have slight Balearic trance vibes like Desire to Stay

X CLUB. are in INCREDIBLE duo to keep an ear out for.

The range at which they’re capable of and the pure atmosphere their songs bring is just absolutely captivating.

Much like a Jack of All Trades, minus the whole “Master of none” line of thinking, X CLUB. are truly blessed, and have created pure gold in every genre they have touched.

They are truly pioneers, and to say that I am excited to see what they produce is an understatement.

The future of Electronic Music will continue to evolve in more ways than one, and the boundaries will continue to be pushed. Creativity will continue to flourish, and we will see a far more complex and melodic soundscape than we have ever before in the coming years.

X CLUB. have crafted a discography that is as intricate and melodic as it gets.

How will this duo continue to push their sound?

The only way to find out, is to follow them closely.

Giving off some WICKED underground rave vibes (the type you’d only find in abandoned airport hangers out in the country where holes litter the roof and the stars peak through or warehouses in the deep seedy underbelly of the city, where puddles line the streets at 4am), today’s song is an INCREDIBLE mix from X CLUB. and EASILY my favorite track from them.
