Little by Little
One step at a time
Over the course of the past couple of emails, Hz spoke about the “playlist” of your lives.
Its an interesting concept, where from my understanding, songs are tied to core memories, and vice versa.
But as Hz stated, its not just about what once was. It’s also about whats to come.
See, its easy to just send you a song that we enjoy and say “hey, listen to this.”
But its what you do with the music that counts. Do you just listen to it and either, enjoy it or dislike it?
Or do you listen to it alongside meaningful encounters, and create long lasting memories with them?
Today’s song reminds me of something fairly simple, but meaningful.
I can’t recall how old I was, but my dad was able to get his hands on Kaleidoscope by Tiesto. Now of course I was absolutely ecstatic with this because my dad was the one to introduce me to the wonderful realm of Trance and Techno, and subsequently, electronic music as a whole.
Now, at the time it was amazing for me, although if you ask me now, you’ll find that I’ll be a bit more critical regarding this album. (Tiesto just go back to crafting that beautiful music you made back then yeah?)
That’s besides the point though.
On this album, one song stood out to me.
I will be here.
Now, the song was a real good one imo…
HOWEVER
Its the remix that takes the cake in every single regard.
Today’s song brings me back to when my dad and I would go for night drives back home, and I was absolutely MILKING this song for everything it was worth.
Maybe you’ll understand why, and maybe you won’t.
But, I’m sure you’ll find at least ONE song to create memories with.
