A couple of minutes ago the cover for the next wage cage shift arrived late.
“Sorry about that man, the bus lady refused to stop at my bus stop”
Sounds bout right, lol
“And also, there was this interesting paper in the window, it's… concerning” he says while showing me a “declaration” right out of a 4chan post.
Now I won't post the whole thing here (he didn't want to send it) but the gist of it is:
“August 10th, 2024.
COVID IS FAKE. I'VE BEEN A WANTED PERSON BY THE FBI AND CIA SINCE 9/11. I HAVE A PHD IN PSYCHOLOGY AND THEY ARE USING A MIND CONTROL DEVICE ON YOU SINCE 2014. NEW PANDEMIC SOON.”
(Sounds like the normal essay from the most sane Miami Dade Public “Transport” user)
And then, at the very end, I crap you not, he wrote.
“SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE. I NEED YOUR HELP, YOU NEED MY HELP. - [name]”
All of those sentences were exactly as he wrote them.
Now something about it triggered a dormant Deja Vu.
“Pull up the channel.” I tell my now concerned coworker.
He taps away on his phone (the YouTube channel name was insanely long) and starts playing a video.
“THE GOVERNMENT IS STARTING TO INCREASE THEIR GLOBAL SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM.” The guy starts rambling.
Oh no.
I can vaguely remember his voice.
Then he comes into focus…
AND ITS THE EXACT. SAME. GUY FROM THE BUS STOP 4 YEARS AGO.
(That will be a story for another day.)
Now I don't know about you but 4 years is a TIME COMMITMENT.
And running for the authorities for 23 years is an even more impressive achievement, lol.
But as a result he's getting what he wants: attention (in the form of… devoted music fans like you)
Which goes to show that as long as you stick to something for long enough, results will come.
Case in point - F.O.O.L (Short for Fuck Our Ordinary Lives)
Been doing it for 10 years and took him about 8 years to reach “mainstream.”
Truly a shame considering he has one of the most innovative and outright inspiring songs I've heard.
Bit of a bias considering he was one of the first few artists I found back in 2014 and the fact he’s still CONSISTENTLY delivering banger after banger is proof you don’t have to abandon your sound once you “make it.
This one is semi-recent and a phenomenal example of consistency - with innovation.
