Principle 1. Embrace Reality and Deal With It
That is the first in Ray Dalio’s fantastic book Principles.
And after xeroxing it to my principles, life has been different.
I found that instead of embracing reality, I escaped from it by playing 8+ hours of video games daily.
You may have something similar.
Endless show/movie binges.
Day-long videogame sessions.
Drugs.
Alcohol.
Others.
And yes, many of them are “fun things.” I’m not against them. We all need a coping mechanism to deal with life’s situations.
But at some point, reality catches up, and things come into perspective.
Are you happy with your current reality? Have you embraced it and taken steps toward making it better?
It’s okay if both answers are “No.” Awareness is enough to start change.
Finding the difference between your current and desired reality is a good first step toward making it happen.
In my case, this project and life circumstances keep me embracing reality daily.
What does this have to do with music? Isn’t excessive music an escape from reality?
I don’t think so.
Like all art, it can inspire and aid in more ways than a traditional painting or movie can.
It can be played in the background as the soundtrack of your life, changing and evolving as you do.
And before you say “Movies can do the same thing…”
I wouldn’t know. I’ve seen maybe 50 movies in my lifetime and forgotten them all.
By all means, if movies bring you back into reality, keep doing it! But don’t let it stop you from living the life you want to create.

This is probably the best song from the album. It’s a reminder of a golden era and shows that you can still do amazing electro house without complicated sounds
This song is just fun. The melody, the breaks, the stops and tempo changes give it LIFE. This brings an odd desire to DANCE (even though it will be a weird dance, lol)
THIS is old sound made for a new age. Now we can only hope they don’t leave again, lol
