Important lesson if you write about things that have seasons: Don’t go missing during Summer.

The amount of amazing albums that came out this summer was off the hook.

And unfortunately I should have my loicesne revoked after not talking about one of the most anticipated releases this year.

Pendulum’s Inertia Album.

Now look, I was born a little bit too late to be raised under the nostalgia of Pendulum.

I heard Hold Your Colour and The Island, which are still fantastic in today’s standards.

Their albums are amazing and Rob Swire is a musical mastermind.

And if it wasn’t their whole thing, I would consider this album to be another case of electronic music artists converting to rock in an industry-wide psyop.

Except…

I think this has more rock than electronic in it.

Don’t get me wrong. It absolutely hits. The energy is UNMATCHED.

But it’s one of those cases of “there’s a bit of drum & bass in your rock album.“

Unfortunately, it’s a trend that is increasingly affecting more and more artists.

If electronic music killed rock, rock is about to get sweet revenge.

In any case, it’s still a good listen if you like heavy things and if you enjoyed Pendulums old stuff.

Today’s song is one of the few songs that actually sound like drum and bass from 2013.

The melody is catchy. The composition is great, and the energy. Ooooh man, the energy is too good.

This album can just be described as energy.

That’s all I gotta say about it tho.

Njoy.

P.S. If you grew up listening to this sort of music, I’m interested. What was the vibe like back then? Do you actually like the new stuff coming out today? It’s always interesting to hear the perspective of people who have lived through the changes.
