A couple of hours ago, Racist Dog and her not-so-racist owner waddled over to the front desk.
And as we were talking, the prejudiced beast proceeded to make a horrendous attempt at a bark.
“What was that?” I ask the owner concernedly.
“Oh, Maltese dogs have very special sophisticated and sensitive vocal chords" She says while petting her dog.
“Oh… that sucks”
“Yeah, the vet noticed that yesterday…
And asked If I’m WATERBOARDING my dog.”
I did everything in my power not to crack up laughing.
“And of course, I told him “Look, she may be racist, but that’s not a call for me to WATERBOARD HER.” She continued
At that point it was over. I busted out laughing and she gave a concerned look.
After which, I apologized, and she went on her way.
Glad no dog got waterboarded tho, they are gorgeous creatures.
Of course, if they teach you anything at Wage Cage training, it's never to laugh. PEOPLE WILL THINK YOU’RE WEIRD, AND YOU WILL REFLECT POORLY ON SERVICE.
To which I say: lol. (Literally)
