🍱 Delicacy of the Day
Reflekt, Deline Bass - Need To Feel Loved (Adam K & Soha remix)
See, this song came on rotation a couple of weeks ago.
It instantly threw me into a trance and stayed on repeat for a good hour or so.
The original was from a British Creature duo all the way back in 2004. This remix from Canadian Cretin Adam K (and singer Soha from the same realm) is from 2009.
It's genuinely impressive how well this has aged.
The curious thing is that this song went back to the top of the charts in January of this year.
The song itself is what some could consider a “classic”.
Everything sounds dreamy and euphoric.
Very simple composition. Every sound has its own space to breathe and do its thing.
The melody grips you from the get-go with some beautiful violins before sending you on a journey of synths that permeate your soul.
Yet another odd way to explain it, but there’s no other way.
After heavy testing, I realized the best place to hear this is in a car.
It still sounds phenomenal with headphones, but there’s something about the “closed but open environment” of a car that makes it hit just right.
No matter where you hear it, this song is a must listen.
Njoy.

💭 Quick Drivel
Yeah there’s not much to say today, just that this song is really good!
I think that Kettama did wonders by sampling it in Yosemite.
This whole year has sounded like a last-ditch effort to hold on to the past.
Of course, its only natural after an “enviromentally stressful” 6 years.
The good thing is that its starting to cool down.
Many potentially good albums are coming out this month.
Maybe fall is where we eat good. Only time will tell.
Always going on incoherent rambles Forward
