The wage cage has been DEAD (out of the 10 regulars I’ve only seen about 4) There’s not much to do but stare at the SOUL STEALING painting in front of me.
Now that I think about it… maybe I SHOULD do a “resident showcase” soon…
Anyway, as this week’s story well has been dry, I may as well commit to the bit and do ANOTHER “Why you should listen to today’s song” email.
Alright so this comes from YET another Yuropeean. Scotland specifically.
I once talked with a Scottish person, the only highlights were him saying “your mom smokes crack behind the wheelie bin” and “you are a fat neek”
Very peculiar specimens.
As for the genre, this is a late night Downtempo… cooler? (What’s the chill equivalent of heater?)
The magic of downtempo mostly comes from the environment. Mostly because it’s very hard to make a downtempo song stand out.
So what made this one stand out?
The pianos and drums. It gives the song a very gentle and insightful tone.
Of course the ambiance in the back pulls it’s weight, but it’s like talking about the sky in a good picture, it HAS to be there.
Overall I rate this a night drive song out of a depressing moshpit where instead of fighting it’s a crying competition.
