A couple of hours ago, we stood in front of a HUGE structure.
And once again, we are starstruck by the absolute BEAUTY of it.
Of course, as with most things in Japan, there’s a LOT of walking involved.
So after waddling uphill for 10 minutes in the AMAZING (100-degree) Japanese heat…
We made it.
Himeji Castle BAYBEE.
A world heritage site known for its beauty and cultural significance.
Heck, we even had to take our SHOES off to enter.
This is the first time someone asks me to take the dogs outside of an airport.
And so we enter this 31-meter (103 feet) behemoth of a castle.
The inside of the castle is entirely empty, with only the traditional wooden layout and a small “information tablet”.
But it isn’t until we reach the top of the castle that we realize…
This is not the ACTUAL castle…
It’s a weapon storage.

Apparently, the Emperor (Who shortly reigned from there) slept somewhere else.
Talk about lost potential, lol.
That view of the mountains was phenomenal.
But regardless, it was a gorgeous experience.
Today’s song is the closest we could get to explaining that vibe…
Look, we tried, but you can’t really the natural beauty of Japan with a song, no matter how gorgeous it is.

Though personally, I recommended for walks at night.
There is a lot to enjoy about this song; the sound design is fantastic, and the instruments are used very, very well.
