Sunday Single #1
The first of our brand new series.
Welcome to Sunay Singles!
Every Sunday either Hyperoxia or I will send you a micro-review of a single song.
We start the series off with an euphoric song that reminds me of times past with a fresh and modern sound design.
Song Info
Song: Maor Levi - I Know
Release Date: 2/28/24
Genre: A mix between electro house and trance.
Runtime: 3:54
Artist Lore
Maor Levi has been one of the oldest artist in the game. He started making music at 15 (a normal thing now a days).
And although he stays in the Trance realm, his style is centered on euphoric and unique songs.
The Great
The sound quality of this song is off the charts. Everything sounds clean and detailed.
It’s phenomenal if you have a good audio system.
The song itself has a “journey” feel to it. The vocal chords decorate the song very very well and the constant chops and chords flow and mix well with each other.
It’s also a really good song to close the week with.
The Meh
The intro is a bit rough if you’re not used to “heavier” genres.
The drums are a bit aggressive (which is something you tend to love after some time) and they sound like engine failure.
Once you get past those first 10 seconds, it changes pace and becomes a pleasant listen.
It’s also TOO SHORT. The majority of the song is buildup to have on the gorgeous buildup at the end.
Conclusion
It’s a well made song. I definitely enjoyed the design and the beat it uses.
I will say that this sounds better in a car or played out loud on speakers because headphones kind of “muffle” some aspects of the song.
Overall, I give this song 5 euphoric trips out of 3 broken blenders.
Similar to it
This reminded me of Ian Bluestone’s album which had songs that were similar, started slow but had euphoric and gorgeous drops.
Here is a really good one from his “Impulse” album.
And that’s it!
We hope you enjoy the song. We want to start expanding towards more “music review” style content on top of the “random stories” daily emails.
But until then, see you tomorrow!
