Sunday Single #6
Welcome to Sunday Singles!
Every Sunday either Hyperoxia or I will send you a micro-review of a single song.
This one is one of those that instantly jump at your ears and throwa you in a state of both trance and reflection.
The sounds used are very reminiscent of Crystal Castles. Which make for a good nostalgia drive.

Release Date: 8/31/23
Genre: Electronic
Runtime: 2:23
Artist Lore
Little is known about almogfx. The artist itself releases consistently and stays within house-ish and wave subgenres.
The Great
From the get-go this song starts with a mellow melody that stays consistent. The drums, chords and snares are all designed to trigger a certain feeling of nostalgia I can’t explain.
The melody is gorgeous and can get too addictive if let run too long. The vocal sample in the background is a nice touch and doesn’t take away from the main chord.
The Meh
I don’t really have any gripes with it. I’d’ say it’s too short but even the length is perfect. It’s short enough to want more but not long enough to say “that’s enough”
Conclusion
With a short runtime with no breaks, this song delivers a consistent and powerful feeling of reflection. It’s a perfect song for staring at the roof or stars as you reflect on everything lived so far.
Similar to it
Another fantastic almogfx song. Hits a different chord, but a good one nonetheless.
