Sunday Single #8

Welcome to Sunday Singles!

Every Sunday either Hyperoxia or I will send you a micro-review of a single song.

This song I honestly found yesterday and ever since I’ve been ADDICTED.

The melody is fantastic, the sounds are CLEAN and the overall production value is through the roof. I’m not a big fan of the Trap genre, but this is one of the few exceptions where it BLOWS my mind.

The song feels like a journey where the ending is as satisfying as the beginning.

Song Info

Title: MIRZHA - LZR

Release Date: 1/24/24

Genre: Trap

Runtime: 2:22

Artist Lore

There is little information available about this lad. He hails from the inhospitable lands of Canada. He likes peacocks, enjoys making groovy beats, and is VERY good at doing so.

The Great

Where do I begin?

I LOVE the sound design in this. The glitchy sounds remind me of Flume with a side of distortion. The drop evolves with the song and doesn't hide the bass.

What makes this song live rent-free is the outro. That 20-30 second melody is juicy in both sound and depth. It’s like the perfect dessert after a great meal. I can’t explain it.

The Meh

As much as I’d like to say “too short” it really isn’t. It starts and closes everything masterfully. I don’t have anything bad to say about this one.

Conclusion

This is something you HAVE to listen to. It will deliver something for everyone. No matter if you like bass, rhythm, or melody.

Similar to it

Another song by this fantastic Artist.

It’s from the same EP. This one focuses more on rhythm and has strong drums. It’s just as good as LZR and has a phenomenal production value.
