This sunday feels mellow and what better way to celebrate it than with some downtempo from no one else than a notorious Dirty DnB artist.

Emperor - like 90% of Drum & Bass artist - is a British Creature.
He specializes in what I call “rip your face off Neurofunk” which is known for heavy bass, dark sounds, and aggressive drums.
The Great
The piano. It’s fantastic and takes center stage as it fades in and out of that fantastic melody.
The song tells an interesting story, it has highs and lows, not breaking out into a full drop until the very end of the song.
The sound design is scrumptious and those saw waves are delicious.
The small details on the background also do a phenomenal job on bringing the song to life, giving it a “worldly” feel instead of “just another background song”. It’s quite something.
The Meh
The repeat value isn’t there, it’s not something you can play back to back with the way it concludes. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say about it.
Conclusion
This is a fantastic mellow banger for a Sunday. It has the right “contemplative” tone to fit the fast approaching end of month.
Similar to it
From the same EP, this one follows a more cheerful tone. More enjoyable and laid back than the other one.
