Sunday Singles #13
Welcome to Sunday Singles!
In Todays installment….

An incredibly melodic, deep, and sensual dnb song that definitely borrows some breakcore elements…
An absolute masterclass in bridging genres, and creating something that sounds so ethereal yet still of this world.

Artist Lore
Not much is known about eightiesheadachetape. At least, not much google wants to tell us. Most socials are inactive, with the exception of soundcloud. Their most recent upload was 6 months ago, and have uploaded more tracks before then, some of which have not made it onto popular streaming platforms.
Instagram has been quite inactive, soundcloud quite inactive (although I understand the process of producing music is no easy task. Some songs on soundcloud have not yet made it onto popular streaming platforms as previously stated. And, a bandcamp too that is quite inactive.
HOWEVER……
The Great
Let’s start off at the beginning…
The subtle chords that are introduced as it ramps up are just beautiful, with that subtle top melody to accompany it as well. But then it introduces that harp like instrument and everything but the harp goes silent. It strums for a bit, before it goes into this ramping snare(?) thats combined with this deep bass.
AND THEN…
Thats when it just, HITS. YOU. This kick/clap combo just come in out of nowhere and its absolutely crazy. The harp then plays in and out and its absolutely beautiful. Then the hats kick in, and at this point you’re in it for the journey.
And a journey it is because, it does everything I just explained, AGAIN. This time, it introduces a droning ethereal background. And then the kick/clap combo come in again.
Then this is where the it just continues to ramp up, adding even more sounds. Those hats are back. And then it drops, AGAIN.
And now this incredible breakcore esque sound is just in the background and it works so damn well. And I mean, So. Damn. Well.
Its criminal how good it sounds….
The Meh
There is no Meh.
