Sunday Singles 24
Bukayo Saka
Welcome to Sunday Singles!
On our 24th installment, we’ll be taking a long at someone who’s been on my radar as of late, and someone that I think should be on your radar as well.
You’ll notice that with today’s song, it shares a sample from a song I sent previously (within the last 2 weeks?). However, the vibe is FAR different.

Artist Lore
Hailing from Hong Kong, Saka is a MINDBLOWINGLY incredible talent in the bass(?) music scene. With appearances on well known labels such as Sable Valley and DEADBEATS, as well as releases on other labels and solo releases, Saka is a straight powerhouse. There’s no other way to put it.
Listening to Saka really has a brother wanting to hop on the DAW…
The Great
I mean where do I begin? The wind-chime like sounds that grace us at the start of the song, with the subtle vocals in the background. Those like, quintessential break/jungle flare sounds (you’ll know what I’m talking about if you listen to break/jungle/dnb. The vocals that are the same as the song I sent a bit ago as well.
But its that build up that amazes me. The sound is just so STELLAR. That build up RIGHT into that Saka sound just, blows me away. I mean, the bass, the sound. It’s so GRITTY. It’s dirty, it’s rough, it’s everything a bass song should have imo. This is why I love Saka’s sound.
The hints of various sound effects, and the instrument selection/usage is just immaculate. Dare I say this is one of Saka’s best songs?
The Meh
You know, I’ve noticed that we here at dumpster delicacies have been neglecting this section of the reviews. Be it biased or truly unbiased reviews, it’s hard to give the flaws for amazing music.
Well, I don’t plan on breaking that streak. There’s nothing meh with this song, and if there was, you’d be nitpicking. I truly, cannot find a fault with this song.
Conclusion
A true masterclass in music from Saka with this one. I mean, just wow. Without a doubt, climbing to the top of the list of favorite artists. I truly cannot wait to see what else Saka has in store for us. The bass is just where it needs to be. Gritty and dirty, right in your face. I would not be surprised if this got some serious playtime at raves and clubs.
This is, without a doubt the best on the album.
