I’ve hit a dangerous stage every addict goes through.
Tolerance.
No longer is a play of the accursed album on Sloptify enough.
I must go deeper.
And in that quest, I found what’s possibly the most dangerous drug yet.
High-Fidelity Audio.
Most people call it invisible. Others call it a scam.
In my limited and fresh experience?
DAMN does it feel like listening to songs for the first time again - Even on the 10th replay.
Everything sounds cleaner. You can hear the second a particular synth starts and ends.
Hell, you can separate every little sound and analyze it on its own.
Of course, audio engineering has many factors. “Make it sound good” can be rocket science apparently.
But so far this new level to the drug has been… disastrous.
At this point I know that cursed album inside out more than I know any other piece of music.
And honestly, this is where I let go of my financial future and embrace the expensive warmth of audio purity.
Will this affect the newsletter? Probably. Every song must now go through a “HiFi” border check before entering The Dumpster*.
*Unless it’s not available for streaming, in which case it gets a pass.
I want you to hear songs that sound GOOD and that have that magic only electronic music has.
And so what’s the best song to showcase now that you and I are listening to completely different songs…
That goes to none other than goood old Sysdemes.
This Cantifornian is at the forefront of the most engineered house there is. Every sound feels like seeing through glass so clear you can see better.
Granted, it’s very minimal. Sysdemes wastes no space. Every sound has its place. No matter how big or small.
Everything comes together to deliver a seamless experience of bliss.
If you have a good pair of headphones this is an excellent test on quality.
And today there’s a test on both quality and patience.
For the first time in a LONG time, I am bestowing upon you a Progressive House track.
Yes, another one of those lovely “start to finish” songs where if you skip even a second the magic is gone.
And trust me, the payoff on this one is absolutely euphoric.
So grab your best pair of audio equipment
And Njoy.
Genre: Progressive House

P.S. I won’t be sharing HIFI links yet since most of the good ones are paid. I want to make sure it’s worth your money before you invest.
