And that’s because The Dumpster has opened a new area: The Arena!
It's a game where you and your fellow Divers compete to see who has the best music taste.
Now The Arena isn’t ACTUALLY ours, BUT we've decided to take over anyway!
So without further ado - I present to you: Music League.
The game is simple:
A game - or league as they call it - is made up of rounds. Each round has a theme. When the round starts, you can submit a song that fits the theme.
After everyone submits a song, you’ll get a playlist. After listening to the playlist, you can vote and share comments.
When the votes are in, we’ll show you the results and comments. The points you earn each round will help you in your quest to win the entire league!
It's pretty straightforward, I've been doing some over the weekend and it's been pretty fun.
Except… 80% of players I’ve seen are stuck in the mainstream sigh
So I propose a complete dumpster takeover and show them what GOOD FKN MUSIC IS.
Of course, I'd like to invite you to the Dumpster exclusive league, where you can compete against fellow divers and your Trashlords, Hyperoxia and I.
If your song wins there will be prizes, but more on that inside The Arena.
To create an account, you will need Spotify (since the app uses Spotify to create playlists), so if you don’t have one, it’s really worth creating one just for this, lol.
The first theme this season will be Foggy Forest, meant to be a Halloween special one. You can send in whatever song reminds you of Halloween.
Be fast if you want to join. The deadline to submit the first song is tomorrow, so if you want to send in your Halloween songs, now’s the time to do it.
In any case, let’s get on to today’s song.
This is one I found through the game. It was one of the few electronic music songs in an electronic music playlist (yeah the bar is that low)
It’s from American’t artist The Flashbulb.
This is an electronic song with some inspirational tones. It sounds somewhat like a brain.fm song, which helped a lot when I was writing this email.
This is perfect for a trip back from work. It helps relax and gives you energy for the rest of the day.
It’s a neat find and one you’ll like. It’s crazy how fresh it sounds despite being released 9 years ago.
