🍱 Delicacy of the Day
Today I got something completely different for you.
This is something I found today. It’s from Canadian Cretin Tor.
I immediately fell in love with it and kept it on in the background while I did other work.
The beautiful thing about this whole album is that you can tune back in and be thrown into bliss.
So all the stressful work didn’t even feel stressful. Whenever I wanted to decompress I’d just look away from the screen and let the music in.
Every single song flows perfectly. The melodies are like water and the sounds are food. The sounds fill that primal mind in a way I can’t explain.
It seems that Canadian Cretins are experts in “nature heavy” sounds.
Probably because there’s nothing to do there.
They have cool mountains tho, especially in Vancouver.
Anyway, give this a spin for your next work session. You’ll likely feel the difference on the first song.
Njoy.
Tidal includes links to Youtube, Sloptify, and Apple Music.
💭 Quick Drivel
Genres like Ambient prove electronic music's versatility.
While comparing artists is something I avoid (topic for later) comparing genres is fair game.
I dare anyone to name another genre that can have a mood for literally anything.
Like seriously, electronic got you covered from the simplest “focus” music to “I must have 1000 grams of drugs in my system to enjoy this.”
It’s got everyone beat in variance, noise, innovation, elitism, drug usage, sound and tempos.
You can truly get thrown into so many genres, subgenres, ultra-niche-genres-that-only-have-like-10-songs, that you’ll never run out of things to listen to.
Granted, finding “good” stuff is half the game, but when you find it???
It gives you such an irreplaceable high that no drug can fill. (Even though most people will try)
That is one of the secret missions I have with this newsletter. Kickstart a squadron of “drug addicts” searching for their next musical high.
So now that you know the secret plan, go get your hit and listen to today’s album.
Always going off the rocker Forward
