Towers Towers Towers

Last one, promise

This is it.

The big BIG B.I.G one.

I’m talking tallest TOWER in the WORLD…

Standing at 634 meters (2,080 Feet)…

The Tokyo Sky Tree.

One of the top 3 Tallest Structures of this floating rock. (The Burj Khalifa is #1 but it’s considered a SKYSCRAPER. Same thing but who cares at this point, lol)

The elevator ride sure as hell made it seem small, though. In 30 seconds, a bedroom-sized elevator brought us from the 4th floor (50 meters) to the 350th floor (350 meters) at a speed of 600 km (372 miles).

Now my opinion?

This was the most boring and underwhelming one of the big three we've visited.

“Tallest structure in the world and all they get is a MEH?” You may be wondering.

“What makes it so bad?” You ask.

The layout.

You see dear friend, unlike all the towers, this one has its best views (The ones towards downtown) locked behind PAYWALLS.

These range from professional pictures to fancy restaurant dinners.

The paywall we picked was access to the higher observatory in the 450th floor.

It’s 450 meters high. Another elevator ride from the main observatory.

Was this much better? Does this expensive and exclusive experience add to the rating?

Nah this tower is still MID.

The reason being PEOPLE HOARDING over the view window like THEY bought it in full.

Was the view good though?

Yes. It was FANTASTIC. Seeing Tokyo light up and transform into its night mode was very interesting.

Tokyo is a beautiful city, and yet we didn’t really explore it much, lol.

So my rating for Tokyo Sky Tree is a: Too many people out of windows available.

Now all this talk of towers reminded me of this phenomenal EP by my FAVORITE neuro drum and bass artist.

Memtrix.

He retired in 2018 after saying that the music industry is rotten. A damn shame considering he’s produced my all-time favorite D&B songs.

This EP is a phenomenal listen; his melody-to-bass drop ratio is addictive.

And the sound design? Absolutely unique. He produces songs with such care that you know it’s a Memtrix song upon seconds of listening to it.

They Were Shadowless is a great opening song. A bit on the heavier side drop though

Curses is without a doubt one of my all-time favorites from him. The lyrics and melody are addictive. The guitar just goes HARD. You can skip all songs and just listen to this one, I won’t be mad.

Gloom Body -despite the name- is actually very… positive and has a good vibe to it.

There is much more to say, but it’s too much for this lowly email.

In terms of towers though, this EP is my favorite of all the Towers we’ve gone to so far.

Njoy.

Genre: Drum and Bass

Always Towering Forward

P.S. This was the last tower of them, so there will be no more towers. Thank you for following along on this trip.
