How to turn anything into a song.

I’m once again sitting by the front desk at the wage cage.

Within earshot, this is all I hear…

beep beep beep. beep beep beep.

The fire alarm is going off on a test round. There’s no way to turn it off.

beep beep beep. beep beep beep

Now to everyone, that is a very annoying sound.

But after you listen to electronic music for some time, you start to find the rhythm in everything.

Most electronic songs follow the foundation of Kick, Snare (or equivalent) and assorted chords chopped up and messed around with.

And if you listen closely to those annoying sounds, you can start separating the wavelengths and finding the rhythm.

In this fire alarm case, it’s 3 beeps and a pause.

So BEEP BEEP BEEP. Stop. BEEP BEEP BEEP. Stop.

Fill that stop with another sound in your mind and BAM, you got yourself a coping mechanism.

I’ve seen it work for everything: fire alarms, wake-up alarms, drilling sounds, jackhammers, and anything that makes people go insane.

And if you think it doesn’t work for continuous sounds, try putting a beat on it. The power of the mind is powerful enough to manipulate wavelengths.

Here is a song that shows that basic structure.

No, it’s not noise. It’s a very simple House track.

It uses a simple structure and yet has a way to get under your ears.

It also works as a base for annoying sounds, play this song over a sound and it’ll somehow turn into a remix.

Njoy.
