Ultimate Mosquito Repellent

It's better than spray

With Spring bringing up the heat man’s oldest natural predator is coming back to everyone unfortunate enough to live in hot places.

Of course, I’m talking about Mosquitoes. (Did you know they killed Alexander the Great and built Rome?)

Google apparently heard that because I got an ad for an article titled “Can Electronic Music scare away mosquitoes?” (Talk about a headline.)

The article itself talks about how a family in Florida (lol) managed to drive mosquitoes away by playing electronic music.

The scientific explanation comes from a Malaysian (lol) study in 2019 that tested certain kinds of music to see which would effectively repel mosquitoes. The study focused on “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” by Skrillex.

Scientists found that the song’s soundwaves disrupted Mosquitoes’ communication, making them less likely to bite.

I suspect it works just as well with boomers, and as much as I’d like to test it on my wage cage, I rather not get fired yet.

Now personally, I think it’s time to bring back boombox radio carrying and have it blast obnoxiously loud music.

Whenever someone complains, just tell them you are doing a service to humanity by scaring away all the pesky mosquitoes. If they insist, tune them out by turning the music louder. Works every time.

Here’s a song to do just that. I haven’t tested it yet, but if the Malians are correct, this should scare the malaria mobiles.
