Today has been the slowest day of the year.
I don’t know how but it felt like every hour was a day of the week.
It gave a good amount of time to get some songs in.
For the first time in MONTHS this is the first Fridee that isn’t full of tech house slop.
A lot of fast songs today too!
But before that…
It’s time for some more ALBUM REVIEWS!
Amtrac - Dreams (8/10)
This is an easygoing dreamy house album.
Silly thing to say given the title, I know.
The different thing about this one is that it gets REALLY GOOD after the first 4 songs.
Songs like Dream, Lovebird and Mirage made it to my favorites.
I liked it! And you are going to like it too if dreamy house is your style.
Bad Computer - Neversince (9/10)
The sound design is OUT of this world.
Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D + (8/10)
Smile was one of those odd albums that I enjoyed but was hit or miss
The remixes were pretty good! A lot of heavy hitters and many things that I didn’t expect.
There was also a… mashup? And like… a cover by a J-pop band? Idk it was pretty good hahaha.
This is what I imagined the original album was going to be like instead of the existential crisis pop/rock album lmao.
It’s a fun remix compilation! They’re usually a drag to go through but this one was really good.
Boys Noize - 7LLVSION (7/10)
I mean… this is just the standard Boys Noize album.
It’s raw, its industrial, it does what it has to do.
This would probably hit harder if I was in Berlin.
…but at work it just kinda blends in with the machinery, lol.
I did enjoy a couple of songs! Its a fun album.
And that’s it for this Fridee’s review!
Anyway, go dig in to today’s selection, there’s a lot of amazing stuff in there.
Njoy.
