What's your favorite animal?

I’m sitting at the wage cage in what’s looking to be a very chill Chewsday.

Suddenly the door opens and a resident waddles by with her dog.

I greet her, she ignores it completely.

Then something odd happens…

She stops for a second, stands there for a good minute, turns to me, and asks:

“Hey, weird question”

ohboy.

“What is your favorite animal?”

I do a double take (gotta do plenty of those here) before responding.

“I uhhhh”

“Don’t worry too much about it. The first one that comes to mind.”

“Monkeys, they’re very funny” I reply.

She ponders for another good minute and smiles, saying nothing while staring.

“What about you?” I ask to break the VERY awkward silence “What’s YOUR favorite animal.”

She freezes.

“Good question…”

HUH? DIDN’T YOU LITERALLY JUST ASK ME THIS? LMAO

“I actually didn’t think about that…” she says while pondering on this secret of the universe “Maybe monkeys too… Lions are very cool though”

“Yeah, lions are amazing, very big too” I reply.

She laughs and waddles off with her dog.

Now that did event leave me wondering… What is YOUR favorite animal?
