Well, I don’t. I most certainly don’t.

But, what am I even talking about?

Well, I’m talking about…

Caring about what other people think of you.

Who honestly cares about what other people think about you?

Do you care?

Well, if you do, you shouldn’t.

Here’s why…

While yes, we’re all pieces of the same puzzle, we all have sides that fit into different regions of said puzzle. You’re simply not going to fit in where you’re not meant for. You can try to brute force that piece in, but the puzzle wont really be complete. It’ll also look wonky right?

You mesh well with certain people, and are met with a brick wall when talking to others. Some people won’t understand you…

AND THAT IS THE POINT.

They’re not meant to.

If everyone likes you, then you’re doing something wrong.

How could you possibly get along with everyone despite differing opinions, ideologies, likes, hobbies, and character? You could, I’m not saying it’s impossible, but at a certain point, you’re going to start butting heads.

Those who aim to please everyone end up pleasing nobody. You’ll always be in a position where you’ll have to make a sacrifice for one person in order to please another. And ignoring that sacrifice ends up resulting in you not helping any of them.

So. why care what other people think about you?

Like what you like, do what you do, be who you want to be (all within reason of course).

So no, I DON’T care what other people think of me.
