🍱 Delicacy of the Day
Alright look, by this point the cat is out of the mf bag.
I’m taking advantage of this “self-created trend.” This week’s trend will be “popular artists” just because its the only thing that sounds good this week.
This song has been quite literally stuck in my head.
At least the first 30 seconds have been. That intro has burned itself into my hippocampus.
The rest of the song is the standard Canadian Cretin Duo Zeds Dead roulette. It’s genuinely impressive how versatile they are.
This is also the first dubstep song we’ve sent in months. The whole genre has been on a freefall in my opinion. This song stands out from most things out there.
There are also a bit of cringe lyrics (unless that’s your life right now which… good luck!), but CUT_’s voice is a great fit for the rawness of the song.
Overall, this is a great song if you love screechy sounds and songs that shouldn’t work but do.
Njoy.
Tidal includes links to Youtube, Sloptify, and Apple Music.
💭 Quick Drivel
Another thing that’s been in my head is finding “Smart Display Glasses”
Unfortunately, your host Hz tends to fall for most gadgets and gizmos that looks cool.
Now I’m not talking about the Meta glasses. Those are just plain weird.
Idk why you wanna have a camera that META EMPLOYEES CAN ACCESS BTW while following you around everywhere.
I’m thinking more along the lines of Even Realities G2s, which are glasses with a display but no camera.
Now why in the world would I want to add ANOTHER display to my life?
Because I have the memory of a goldfish and constant reminders are incredible. It would also be cool to control stuff from glasses.
There’s also no doomscrolling (yet) so that’s another plus.
So I did some research, watched like 10 billion videos, and eventually landed on the MemoMind One.
Good price, looks reputable, HAS SPEAKERS, and overall looks like a good purchase.
Except the site seems… Fishy.
I can’t explain it, but something is off.
So I go back to the videos.
They’re all 3+ months old.
Tried filtering by “most recent”
…which shows a video a month old.
Strike 1.
Then I start analyzing the product page a bit more.
And realize that there’s no shipping timeline.
So I do some googling, there’s no mention of when website buyers can expect delivery.
There’s also a reddit for the company, except it’s mostly dead and theres no mention of people actually using the thing?
Strike 2.
Then I find that there’s a discord community you can join.
And well… it seems the instinct was correct.
Upon joining I see a wall of text hit the general chat.
It’s a “first impression” review of the glasses.
Yeah so…
The people who KICKSTARTED the product A YEAR AGO are JUST NOW getting their glasses.
Website buyers? Forget it.
But that wasn’t the problem.
The UI was. The few who got the glasses were complaining about how terrible the UI and experience was.
That was strike 3, 4, 5, and 6.
So yeah, they’re still on the wishlist. It's clear that the product can work; it just needs a bit more time in the oven.
So unfortuantely, Hz Tech Reviews on display glasses will have to wait.
It is pretty incredible to see where tech is going though. I think that wearables are having a bit of a “renaissance” moment where people are starting to see their value.
Just you know, not the ones with clear privacy violations like the meta glasses which are just big data farms lmao.
Always Forward
